Foster Support

I am blessed to serve as the Program Lead for the Foster Support Program. Since joining Kingdom Workers in 2020, I have been honored to walk alongside volunteers in communities throughout the United States as they work to make a difference for children in foster care. The need for safe homes for children has reached an all-time high over the past decade—due in large part to the opioid epidemic. This means strong foster families are needed more now than ever. But even if serving as a foster parent isn’t something you can do right now, the good news is you can still help by offering support to foster parents. By supporting a foster family, you are providing for the needs of children who are hurting and scared. Not all are called to foster, but you can help those who do!

This caring support is critical. As many as 30-50% of licensed foster families discontinue fostering every year due to lack of support.* But with support, foster parents will have access to resources that will enable them to continue to provide a safe place for vulnerable children. Kingdom Workers’ Foster Support Program seeks to mobilize Christian volunteers to provide help and hope to families and youth in foster care.

Working together, we can keep families engaged in the foster care system, encourage new families to join, and be a light for Jesus in this broken world. I am energized by the opportunity that God has placed before us to help care for His children. Will you join me?

Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go with us?” And I said, “Here I am, send me.” (Isaiah 6:8)

You may not be able to take a foster child into your home, but by making a monthly commitment between $50-$250, you will make a significant impact for these children. Your donation means that together, we can train more people in more churches to provide a caring environment for foster families—one where children learn that God loves them and cares for them.
