When Ruth decided to follow her mother-in-law, she did so with a bold declaration, “Where you go I will go, where you stay I will stay. Your people will be my people and your God my God.” (Ruth 1:16). In this moment, we see that Ruth was ready and willing to support her mother-in-law no matter what.
Leaving your hometown as a Kingdom Workers volunteer or mission worker is a blessing, but it can also be full of challenges. Those challenges become easier to tackle when you have a strong support team—preferably a team full of people like Ruth. Not only will this personal network provide financial support, but most importantly, they will build you up through prayers and mutual encouragement.
