Disability Care: Diagnostic Team

Our Cognitive Delay Assessment and Support Program is looking for several specialists in the medical field to help write individual education/learning plans for kids with special needs in Grenada. Volunteers will work closely with local volunteers and individuals in their specialty area to offer additional virtual consulting and advising throughout the year as questions arise. 


Work alongside Kingdom Workers staff and Grenadian medical professionals to help them write individual education/learning plans for kids with special needs. 


When & Where

Location: Grenada

Volunteers needed: 1 doctor or physician's assistant, 1 physical therapist, 1 occupational therapist, 1 speech therapist, and 1 behavioral analyst

Dates: 10 days (mid-late June , official dates TBD) 

Application deadline: March 1 


Additional information


  • Valid medical license
  • Experience working with children
  • Experience working/volunteering in a Lower/Middle Income Country (LMIC)
  • Interest in possibly returning to Grenada/providing training sessions online in the future
  • Willingness to work alongside medical professionals

Anticipated activities

  • Observe and participate in the assessment and treatment plan creation for children with special needs
  • Provide feedback to local professionals and Kingdom Workers staff on how to write treatment and care plans for a child with special needs
  • Develop relationships with Kingdom Workers staff and local professionals


Volunteer fee

$500-$1,000 – airfare

Support raising is a great way to cover or offset the volunteer fee for your trip and also surround yourself with a support network. If you would like to support raise, let us know and we will walk you through the steps to do so. 

Additional details

Volunteers will have a few housing options to choose from. Specifics will be decided during trip planning.

You will need a valid passport to travel to and from Grenada. It must not expire within six months of your trip.  

All routine vaccinations should be up to date. Check the CDC website for information on recommended vaccines.

We facilitate orientation to help you prepare for your time volunteering.
