Camp Croix is located in beautiful northern Wisconsin. It uses its 35 small cabins to host religious camps during the summer and also rents out cabins to the public throughout the year. Use your construction skills to bless Camp Croix by renovating and restoring some of the small cabins this fall!

Dates: September 23 - October 17, 2019
Volunteers needed: 9 volunteers per day
Application deadline: September 9, 2019
Project Manager: Herb Mehne
Housing: Eight bedrooms and five trailer sites available.
Food: Breakfast, lunch, and snacks will be provided.
Do I need to have previous experience to apply?
Each phase of the project requires different skills and numbers of volunteers, so if you’ve never lifted a hammer, you can still volunteer! Our experienced volunteers happily provide on-the-job training to those who need it.
What should I bring?
Safety equipment will be supplied, but please wear clothing that protects you from sharp and blunt objects. Shoes must either be tennis shoes or thicker. Volunteers use their own personal tools, such as a hammer, nail belt, 1”x25’ tape measure, speed square, utility knife with blades, pry bar, and chalk line. All other tools are provided by Builders For Christ.
Are there age restrictions?
Anyone 16 years of age or older may serve on a Builders For Christ project. Volunteers under the age of 18 must have an adult chaperone who will volunteer as their supervisor. Only volunteers age 18 and older are permitted to operate motor vehicles and power tools, climb ladders and scaffolding, work on a roof, or engage in any other hazardous activities.
Builders For Christ volunteers are the people who selflessly give up their time and construction skills to help congregations, schools, and organizations with their building projects.
