Supporting and developing local leaders

Our Martin Ntambo Leadership Development Scholarship is helping local Kingdom Workers volunteers in developing countries become leaders in their community.

We’ve supported local volunteer education since 2016.

Through the Martin Ntambo Leadership Development Scholarship, we’ve supported the aspirations of more than 16 local Kingdom Workers volunteers in the developing countries where we serve. While the scholarship began in 2016, it was only recently renamed in 2019 in memory of Martin Ntambo, a Kingdom Workers board director who was called to his eternal home. Martin was passionate about Kingdom Workers and took every opportunity to share the gospel. We’re honoring his legacy by helping our volunteers around the world do the same.

Encourage future leaders

We identify volunteers with God-given talents who have a desire to do more.

Support education goals

Through the scholarship, individuals grow their skillset and become experts in their field.

Instill ownership

As local people learn their trade or industry and develop their skills, they graduate and are ready to create change in their community.

Since I was little, I wanted to become a Christian Indonesian language teacher. I want to be able to communicate the word of God and Christian love through my profession. Going to university will be a big challenge for me. But I have been blessed to have this chance to go to university. I want to be a blessing for others.”

“My training will make me very busy in the community at large. At the same, it will enable me to do more work for God, do more of serious evangelism, particularly to participate in rural health programs and bring more people to God.”

Kingsley always knew he wanted to do something with his life to help others. He just wasn't sure what that would look like, until he met Kingdom Workers.

Kingsley's Story

Growing up, Kingsley knew he wanted to help others. He just didn't know how. Would he grow up to be a pastor like his father? Or should he pursue a dream of being a doctor? Then one day in 2013, Kingsley connected with Kingdom Workers. Now he is not only helping meet people's physical needs, but also getting to share the encouraging message of the gospel with those he meets.
