Staring down a giant

In Nigeria the average life expectancy is only 53 years old. Preventable illnesses and diseases like malaria, diarrhea, and typhoid are still deadly here. A combination of widespread poverty, lack of access to basic healthcare, and poor infrastructure all contribute to this. 

In today’s episode, we'll look at how the dreams of a few became a program that has helped meet the basic health needs of thousands in Nigeria. And how our local volunteers stay motivated to continue this work against a backdrop of some serious challenges.
