Jesus Cares
February is often associated with cold temperatures and Valentine's Day. But another special event happens worldwide in February that you might not know about. Night to Shine is a prom event for teenagers with special needs that takes place every year on the Friday before Valentine's Day.
As we recognize Disability Awareness Month, I am reminded of a heartwarming story that encapsulates the essence of our mission at Kingdom Workers. This story, titled "Wet head and wet cheeks," told by Pastor Michael D. Zarling of Water of Life Lutheran Church, beautifully illustrates how Jesus Cares touches lives.
During a recent visit to Worship at the Cross, a tailored church service for those with disabilities, I was drawn in by the confident and measured chords of the hymn. The pianist was Matthew, a wonderful example of a Jesus Cares participant sharing their God-given talents in order for the gospel to be a light to others.
For more than 30 years, our volunteers have been caring for souls and helping people with disabilities thrive by using their God-given gifts and abilities. Find out how you can serve His Kingdom through Jesus Cares.
Jesus Cares offers a variety of resources designed to help your church, bible studies, or faith-based program provide tailored experiences to individuals with disabilities. From planning tools to music and more, we’re on a mission to empower believers by equipping them to share their faith and the love of Jesus with others.
