How we're supporting foster families
The Foster Support program brings needed help and encouragement to foster families through meals, babysitting, carpooling, and sharing the message of Jesus in whom we find true peace and rest.
Every year children are placed in out-of-home care because their biological homes are not safe. These children need a place where they can feel secure and loved and where they may even have the opportunity to hear about their Savior who loves them.
We believe foster families benefit from additional support so that they can focus on what’s most important—being the best possible parents to hurting kids. That’s why we help churches and people like you reach out to local foster families with encouragement, support, and the gospel.

You can volunteer on your own, with a friend, or as a group. Helping a foster family with the physical, emotional, and spiritual care they need can be as simple as dropping off a pre-made meal, cutting their lawn, or messaging them to check in. If you don’t already know a foster family to support, we will help you find one in your area.
Your church is unique in many ways: location, history, size, the skills of your members, and your ministry goals. We’ll help you develop a custom approach for creating a thriving foster program and we’ll provide resources which infuse confidence as you reach out to your community.

As a college student, time is a precious resource. When you’re not in class, your day can quickly be consumed by homework, a job, exercise, eating, and (if you’re lucky) getting the highly-recommended-but-ever-so-elusive eight hours of sleep. Oftentimes, as college students, when you manage to carve out some free time, the first thought is what can I do for myself?
But Charissa asked a different question.
