If I could go back in time and tell 18-year-old me, a freshman at Wisconsin Lutheran College, that months before I turn 30 I would be preparing to begin my life abroad as a mission worker in Japan, my younger self would probably laugh, roll her eyes, and proceed to make a latte for the next student in line at the campus coffee house. It is truly amazing and humbling to see how God chooses people to assist Him in His kingdom!
For the past three years, I have been working one-on-one with children who have autism and their families. My role in their lives is not to “fix” them but merely support and teach them the needed skills that will make communicating with their parents, siblings, teachers, and peers easier for them. I am very excited to take my passion God has blessed me with to build a program in Japan that will support children with behavioral disabilities such as autism, ADD, and ADHD, while also supporting their families and teaching English through the local church.
Please prayerfully consider joining my support network by setting up a monthly donation.
