Empowering Survivors Program Innovator

Status: 12-month contract term
Target start date: July 2022
The Empowering Survivors Program Innovator will assess our current Empowering Survivor program and identify the best way to connect volunteer advocates with survivors of relationship violence. A key aspect of this contract role will be implementing innovative solutions to grow the program while maintaining a high-quality program. Specific expectations related to program innovation and growth will be set and assessed throughout the 12-month contract period.

Contract Deliverables
- Grow the number of volunteer advocates that are directly connected to survivors of relationship violence
- Create new community partnerships for the Empowering Survivors Program
- Manage and connect volunteers directly to survivors of relationship violence
- Assess the current program model and identify areas for improvement. Implement innovative ideas to drive program quality and growth
- Develop relationships with others who serve survivors of relationship violence to learn and optimize our program
- Monitor, track, and share out key program metrics. Provide regular reports on progress and manage success
- Partner with the Center for Community Health Ministry on research projects to inform and drive the success of the Empowering Survivors program
Education, Experience, and Characteristics
- Must demonstrate alignment with Kingdom Workers' Statement of Faith
- Willing to take risks and innovate
- Results-driven
- Knowledge of the survivors of relationship violence support landscape or strong relationships with domestic abuse shelters
- Ability to participate in a work environment that fosters open and honest two-way communication
- Ability to work independently, prioritize workload, and deliver quality results on time, while working on multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong communication skills
- Comfortable with the use of technology and software platforms
- Proven ability to work cross-culturally while building relationships and working collaboratively with others
Location and Travel Expectations
- Position is based in Milwaukee, WI (preferred)
- This position is preferred to be onsite, but not required
- Ability to travel occasionally
- Ability to travel by road, air or other means as may be encountered in a developing country
- Ability to happily spend time and work in conditions that may occasionally be deemed primitive
- Valid passport, or ability to obtain one, required
- Valid driver’s license required
Other Conditions
- Frequently required to walk, sit, stand, and/or lift up to 30 pounds
- Frequently required to utilize hand and finger dexterity
- Continually required to talk and hear
- Occasional exposure to wet and/or humid conditions including outdoor exposure
- Occasional exposure to bloodborne and airborne pathogens or infectious materials
