Content and Engagement Manager

​​The Content and Engagement Manager is responsible for developing and executing Kingdom Workers' content strategy to increase volunteer engagement, donor participation, organizational partnerships, and awareness of our mission. This role develops systems that identify, capture, and communicate service and gospel impact. The ideal candidate is both a strategic thinker and gifted storyteller who can transform ministry outcomes into content that inspires action.​

Duties and Responsibilities:

Strategy & Editorial Leadership  

  • develop and oversee Kingdom Workers' content strategy across all communication channels 
  • create flexible, responsive content plans aligned with organizational priorities, campaign needs, and emerging opportunities for engagement and impact
  • research audience behaviors, nonprofit trends, and emerging faith-related topics to improve effectiveness 
  • ensure content strategies align with Kingdom Workers' mission, values, and brand standards  
  • coordinate with freelancers, contractors, and creative partners 
  • proofread, edit, and review content  

AI-Assisted Operations and Analytics  

  • champion strategic adoption of AI-powered content systems to increase capacity, streamline workflows, and expand ministry reach 
  • build scalable AI-enabled content systems to accelerate ideation, creation, repurposing, and distribution
  • maintain quality standards and brand consistency across AI-assisted content  
  • monitor performance, engagement metrics, and audience behavior to optimize content 

Story Acquisition & Content Creation  

  • develop systems for identifying, collecting, documenting, and organizing ministry stories across programs  
  • train staff and ministry partners to recognize and capture stories that support organizational goals  
  • translate ministry outcomes and impact into compelling narratives that inspire engagement and support through high-quality content for web, email, print, digital, video, and other communication channels
  • other duties as assigned 


Education, Experience, and Characteristics:

  • must demonstrate alignment with Kingdom Workers' Statement of Faith
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations, English, or a related field 
  • minimum five years of professional experience in communications, journalism, marketing, copywriting, or a related field  
  • excellent writing, editing, verbal communication, and proofreading skills with the ability to communicate effectively across diverse audiences and channels 
  • experience developing and executing content strategies  
  • experience managing editorial calendars and content production workflows
  • familiarity with marketing automation, email marketing, and digital platforms  
  • experience maximizing AI-powered content creation tools and workflows preferred  
  • ability to participate in a work environment that fosters open and honest two-way communication 
  • ability to work independently, prioritize workload, and deliver quality results on time, while working on multiple projects simultaneously 
  • must possess strong communication skills 
  • be comfortable with the use of technology and software platforms 
  • have proven ability to work cross-culturally while building relationships and working collaboratively with others 

Location and Travel Expectations:

  • position is based in the Kingdom Workers’ Office in Waukesha, WI
  • position can be partially remote as approved by management 
  • ability to travel occasionally 
  • ability to work during evenings and/or weekends occasionally 
  • ability to travel by road, air or other means as may be encountered in a developing country 
  • ability to happily spend time and work in remote areas 
  • valid passport, or ability to obtain one, required
  • valid driver’s license required 

Other Conditions:

  • frequently required to walk, sit, stand, and/or lift up to 30 pounds
  • frequently required to utilize hand and finger dexterity
  • continually required to talk and hear
  • occasional exposure to wet and/or humid conditions, including outdoor exposure
  • occasional exposure to bloodborne and airborne pathogens or infectious materials
