Arizona Regional Mobilizer

As the Arizona Regional Mobilizer, you will work to develop strong connections and active lead volunteers for the Jesus Cares Ministry in Arizona to thrive. Jesus Cares Ministries strives to create a space in worship and community for persons with disabilities where they feel connected, included, and supported. This position is intended as a short-term employment (approximately 6 months) to initiate the program.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- activate volunteers for the Jesus Cares program in the Phoenix and surrounding area (activities include but are not limited to – going and meeting with church members during services/other activities to bring awareness to program, meeting with volunteers and potential volunteers in person, meeting with other partner agencies as needed)
- work with volunteers to have them successfully complete Kingdom Workers training necessary to be a Jesus Cares volunteer
- meet virtually with Kingdom Workers’ Americas Regional Director, Jesus Cares Lead, and other staff monthly to update on program status
- work to bring awareness of other Kingdom Workers programs beyond Jesus Cares Ministries and meet with other Kingdom Workers’ employees for them to follow up on volunteer inquiries.

Education, Experience, and Characteristics:
- must demonstrate alignment with Kingdom Workers' Statement of Faith
- has experience mobilizing volunteers
- have experience working with persons with disabilities and their families
- has knowledge about creating an inclusive environment for those differently abled
- ability to participate in a work environment that fosters open and honest two-way communication
- ability to work independently, prioritize workload, and deliver quality results on time, while working on multiple projects simultaneously
- must possess strong communication skills
- be comfortable with the use of technology and software platforms
- have proven ability to work cross-culturally while building relationships and working collaboratively with others
Location and Travel Expectations:
- position is based in in the greater Phoenix area
- position can be partially remote as approved by management
- ability to travel occasionally
- ability to travel by road, air or other means as may be encountered in a developing country
- ability to happily spend time and work in remote areas
- valid passport, or ability to obtain one, required
- valid driver’s license required
Other Conditions:
- frequently required to walk, sit, stand, and/or lift up to 30 pounds
- frequently required to utilize hand and finger dexterity
- continually required to talk and hear
- occasional exposure to wet and/or humid conditions including outdoor exposure
- occasional exposure to bloodborne and airborne pathogens or infectious materials
