If you’ve heard of Kingdom Workers, chances are you’ve also heard of Builders for Christ. For many, the two names have been synonymous for decades. But while Builders for Christ played a foundational role in shaping our organization, Kingdom Workers is so much more than a construction ministry.

Today, we serve people around the world by mobilizing local believers to meet physical and spiritual needs in their own communities. We still build churches and schools in the US and have done some rebuilding after natural disasters—but we also bring clean water to villages, mentor teens in trade and spiritual growth, support survivors of relationship abuse, and help people with disabilities to thrive.

Builders for Christ is an incredible ministry that has left a lasting impact. For more than 35 years, volunteers have dedicated their time and talents to helping churches expand their reach by constructing new worship spaces and schools. And while that spirit of service still exists in our work today, Kingdom Workers has expanded far beyond the walls of a church building.

What Kingdom Workers Does Today

Kingdom Workers equips local believers to serve their neighbors in sustainable, impactful ways. Here are a few ways we’re living out our mission today:

• Clean Water & Sanitation: We work with communities in places like Malawi and Indonesia to build usable toilets, improve hygiene practices, and provide access to safe drinking water—all while sharing the love of Christ.

• Disability Care & Inclusion: Instead of treating disabilities as limitations, we help people discover their God-given strengths through programs that offer rehabilitation, job training, and community support.

• Family & Survivor Support: From supporting foster families to walking alongside survivors of relationship abuse, we help people in difficult situations find hope and healing through faith.

• Youth Mentorship & Trades Skill Building: Our Build Up program teaches teens skilled trades—like carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work—while also mentoring them in faith and leadership.
  
  

Still Rooted in Service, But Growing in Mission

At our core, Kingdom Workers is still about bringing together believers to serve others in Jesus’ name. That hasn’t changed. But today, that service takes on several forms—meeting both physical and spiritual needs in a way that creates lasting transformation.
