Driven to Serve: How You Can Deliver Life-Changing Aid in Malawi
Bringing Hope to the Most Vulnerable
Imagine being unable to leave your home because of a physical disability.
Now imagine that your only toilet—unsanitary and falling apart—is unusable.
This was the reality for Pitana, an elderly woman living with a disability in a remote part of Malawi. With no means to rebuild her toilet, she faced daily struggles that left her feeling isolated and helpless.
“Imagine staying alone without a husband. You lack a lot of things—food, peace, protection, and nutrition. These are farfetched dreams,” Pitana stated.
But thanks to Kingdom Workers and the help of her neighbors, Pitana’s story didn’t end there. Volunteers worked together to build her a new toilet—one that’s safe, sanitary, and accessible. The new design includes a cover, which helps protect Pitana and her community from deadly diseases like cholera.
Overcoming Challenges to Serve More People
While Pitana’s story is one of transformation, there are still many others in need. Kingdom Workers is committed to reaching the most vulnerable, ensuring that people have access to clean water, safe sanitation, and disability aids that restore dignity and independence.
However, serving these remote communities is no easy task. Many of the villages we work in are located far from major roads, requiring durable transportation to deliver materials, visit families in need, and oversee projects that change lives.
One of the greatest challenges we face is the need for a reliable truck that can navigate these difficult terrains. The truck we currently use is unreliable and too small to transport the necessary supplies. A new Toyota Land Cruiser, built for the unique demands of this mission, would allow us to expand our impact and reach thousands more people annually.

The Impact of Reliable Transportation
A new truck would mean:
- Delivering essential supplies like cement, ventilated pipes, and iron sheets for clean water projects, as well as wheelchairs for individuals with disabilities.
- Reaching remote communities to monitor, supervise, and train congregations committed to serving their neighbors.
- Expanding our impact by providing assistance to an additional 4,000 people every year, adding to the nearly 15,000 Malawians already served in 2024.
- Improving program visits, allowing staff to conduct multiple field trips in a single day and maintain a stronger connection with the communities we serve.
- Investing in staff development, ensuring our team can attend training courses and collaborate with experts in clean water and disability care to enhance their knowledge and skills.
Without this essential vehicle, critical work like rebuilding toilets, maintaining boreholes, and supporting vulnerable individuals will be significantly delayed.

A Mission Driven by Love
Pitana’s new toilet is more than just a structure—it’s a testament to the power of community and faith. It stands as a reminder that she is not forgotten and that love in action can transform lives. As we continue to serve in Malawi, we are reminded that every project, whether big or small, is an opportunity to share God’s love with those in need.
There are still countless others waiting for their own reminders of hope and care. Together, we can make a lasting impact, ensuring that everyone—regardless of their circumstances—has access to the resources they need to thrive.
