In the very beginning, before the fall, before sin ever broke into the world—there was work.
God created the heavens and the earth, set the stars in place, planted a garden, and then did something incredible: He handed Adam a job. “Work it and take care of it,” God said of the Garden of Eden (Genesis 2:15). This was paradise—and yet there was still purpose. Still responsibility. Still meaningful labor.
Work was not a punishment. It was a calling.
And that same calling echoes today.

At Kingdom Workers, we’ve been blessed to partner with Lutheran high schools across the country, providing students with hands-on opportunities to serve others while growing in their faith.
From building projects to disability ministry to supporting foster families, these students are putting their faith into action in powerful ways.
