Within Reach
Over 8,000 miles—that’s the distance between the United States and the children we serve through Kingdom Workers in Malawi. While it may seem like a vast divide, the impact of support is reaching across continents, changing lives in ways that reflect the love and generosity of the early Church.
A Biblical Model of Giving
In Acts 2:44-45, we see a powerful example of Christian community: "All the believers were together and had everything in common. They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need." This spirit of generosity continues today through the work of Kingdom Workers, as we help provide education, support, and spiritual encouragement to children with disabilities in Malawi.
One of these children is Vasco, a 19-year-old from a rural Malawian village. Born with congenital tibial deficiency, a condition affecting the development of his leg bones, Vasco has faced significant challenges. Yet, he has always dreamed of continuing his education and building a better future.
Breaking Barriers to Education
For many children in Vasco’s community, education remains out of reach. Parents work tirelessly as small-scale farmers, but the cost of tuition often exceeds what they can afford. Vasco, like many others, had to leave school multiple times because his family couldn’t pay the fees, leaving his future uncertain.
But in 2024, his life took a turn for the better.
Through Kingdom Workers’ disability ministry, Vasco received tuition support, ensuring he could stay in school. This initiative is more than financial aid—it’s an investment in the future of children like Vasco. Today, we are supporting 20 children with disabilities in schools, providing them with access to education that would otherwise be unattainable.
For Vasco, this support means more than just returning to the classroom—it’s a step toward his dream of becoming an engineer. With each lesson, he gains the knowledge and skills needed to build a better life, proving that when education is within reach, transformation follows.
Strengthening Faith Through Worship
Education isn’t the only way Vasco’s life is changing. His spiritual journey has deepened through Worship at the Cross, a special service tailored for individuals with disabilities. Here, Vasco found a place where he felt fully included, strengthening his relationship with Christ. Inspired by these services, he joined the choir at his home church, allowing his faith to flourish alongside his education.
You Are Part of the Story
Vasco’s story is a testament to the power of generosity and faith. Just as the early Church came together to meet the needs of others, we too are called to make a difference in the lives of children like Vasco. Your support brings education within reach, transforms futures, and shares the love of Christ across the world.
