In rural Indonesia we began with the goal of bringing clean water to villages. Since then, clean water has changed the lives of countless individuals. More children are attending school, communities can grow their own food, and access to clean toilets has improved sanitation and health. Now there is an opportunity to specifically bless another group-women.
Rose wanted to do something about the health crisis in Nigeria. But she didn’t have the proper medical training or the ability to go back to school. She didn't know how she could make a difference,
But God had placed a desire in Rose’s heart to be bold.
When Rose looked around her she saw people suffering from malaria, diarrhea, and pneumonia. In Nigeria preventable diseases and illnesses are the leading causes of death—average life expectancy is just 50 years old. A lack of available medical care and prevention contribute to this...
"It is quite interesting, looking back on it...the opportunities and God's hand in it all," Jim Haag noted with a smile. Jim co-founded Kingdom Workers with Bob Grebe over 30 years ago, although he is quick to note, "It's not that Kingdom Workers happened because of Bob Grebe and Jim Haag, but that he and I happened to have the opportunity to be involved."
The Lord has brought many blessings to Kingdom Workers over the past 30 years. As we celebrate all that has happened during this time, I find myself reflecting on some of my own experiences while serving people through mission work. What I experienced and learned while serving with Kingdom Workers in Malawi still has an impact on me to this day...
